Online shopping has become safer, except for two industries
E-commerce fraud is reduced in percentage and dollar terms since the first quarter of 2016. The exception have been only for two industries of online commerce – marketplaces and jewelry sales. In all research of Q1 2017 of Global Fraud Index were taken into account fraud attempts of 5,000 retailers web-sites in eight industries as clothing, home appliances, cosmetics, furniture, commodities for rest and etc.
In spite of the fact that losses from fraud decrease, the amount of losses is still impressive – milliards of dollars. Many retailers are losing money due to misconfigured security systems. They declined normal transactions due to fear of fraud.
