The jury members from Kazakhstan were Yuliya Yakupbaeva, partner of the GPI Group, co-founder of the ESG club and Oksana Ushkevich, director of Astron Group LLP.

“We congratulate our winners! This is indeed a high rating of international level. The award is a very good network for the participants, an opportunity to express themselves and share the successful practice of implementing green solutions,” mentioned Yuliya Konstantinovna.

The winner of the award, Baiterek National Managing Holding JSC, highlighted introducing “green” initiatives as an important aspect of the ESG policy of the Holding.

“The concept of the “green” office of the Holding is aimed at increasing the level of rational use of resources, environmental education of employees and reducing the negative impact on the environment,” said Madina Yerzhanova, Director of the Strategy and Corporate Development Department.

The second winner, the Global Development LLP award, noted the significance of implementing “green” technologies in buildings.

“We thank the organizers of the award for recognizing our facility as the best green office in Kazakhstan. We have been working on the introduction of technologies aimed at saving resources since 2014 and today we already have international green certificates for our facilities. By introducing the best technologies and practices we create comfortable conditions for people in our buildings,” noted Lukasz Skowronski, Director of Global Development LLP.

Also during the in-person meeting, Club members discussed practical cases in the field of ESG, developed proposals that will form the basis of the Club’s strategy and plan for its activities for the coming year. The materials developed during the session will be included as abstracts in the National ESG Report as the final document of the ESG Club.
