How AI transformation is changing business. New trends in consulting at the seminar by PARASAT and IT CEO CLUB.

On May 28 in Astana, a seminar was organized by PARASAT Business Club and IT CEO CLUB. Experts gathered here not just to talk about trends and well-known facts, but to share technologies, experiences, and specific knowledge that are in demand in business today — insights that are changing both the mindset of Kazakhstani entrepreneurs and the practice of doing business.

Such joint events by PARASAT Business Club and IT CEO CLUB are a real find for entrepreneurs. Behind closed doors, away from unnecessary noise, among experts and practitioners, the focus is not on theoretical concepts but on real tools that are already transforming business. Solutions are born here that are not published openly, but passed on personally — from one practitioner to another. And it is in this format that the foundation of future competitive advantages is laid.

One of the central moments of the meeting was the presentation by Rustam Yakupbayev, Managing Partner of GPI Group and board member of IT CEO CLUB, and Yulia Yakupbayeva, Partner at the company and Chair of the Sustainable Development Council at the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs Atameken. They introduced the Consulting 5.0 model — a new system for company transformation at the intersection of technology, people, and meaning.

The World is Changing — Business Must Adapt

“Classical approaches no longer work,” said Rustam Yakupbayev, setting the tone for the meeting. “Companies face challenges that cannot be solved by experience alone. What’s needed is new intelligence.”

For the past eight years, GPI Group has been working on finding and implementing solutions that provide businesses with a built-in mechanism for continuous development. This became the foundation of their model — Consulting 5.0.

The model includes five elements:

  • People — adapting teams to technological changes
  • Processes — automation and optimization
  • Technology — implementation of modern solutions
  • ESG — sustainable development as the basis for long-term strategy
  • AI — artificial intelligence as the core of decision-making

AI Transformation: Not the Future, but the Present

The central theme of the presentation was AI transformation. According to Yulia Yakupbayeva, this is not just a buzzword, but a practical tool already delivering real results for business.

How it works:

  • AI analyzes processes and identifies weak points.
  • It generates regulations and RACI matrices.
  • It suggests improvements and automates control.
  • It supports management decisions at all levels — from HR to logistics and marketing.

At the seminar, they presented the structure of AI management, within which each department can have its own digital agent. These agents are autonomous, self-learning, proactive, and act strictly within the company’s strategic objectives.

“The speed of analysis and the accuracy of decision-making increase dramatically when you have GPT-6-level intelligence on your team,” explained Rustam Yakupbaev.

From Task Management to Intelligence Management

“The speed of analysis and accuracy of decision-making increases dramatically when your team includes intelligence on the level of GPT-6,” explained Rustam Yakupbayev.

The shift from “task management” to managing the intelligence that executes those tasks is another turning point of the model. According to the speakers, this is the future, and those who adopt the approach first will gain not just advantages but digital superiority in the market.

GPI Group proposes that companies begin with AI diagnostics of processes, then assemble a team of digital agents, and move toward scaling via a platform approach. This model is particularly relevant for companies striving to grow without losing manageability.

Why Now?

When asked why now is the right time to start AI transformation, Yulia Yakupbayeva replied simply:

“Because it is accessible now. Ready-made solutions from Google, Microsoft, OpenAI are available. This is no longer expensive R&D, but a practical tool. The main thing is to start.”

According to Dubai AI Week 2025, 79% of executives are confident that Generative AI will radically transform their business by 2027. At GPI, they believe — it’s unwise to wait until competitors take the lead.

If you want your business not just to survive but to grow 2–10 times in the coming years, it may be worth starting with intelligence. Not only human, but also artificial.
