The Forum is one of the largest international platforms for open dialogue between government bodies, businesses, international organizations, and civil society on issues of green energy, sustainable waste management, and the transition to a circular economy.
The goal of GEWR’25 is to unite the efforts of key industry participants to accelerate the implementation of sustainable development principles and environmental responsibility in Kazakhstan and the countries of Central Asia.

Within the framework of the forum, plenary sessions were held with the participation of representatives of government structures of the region’s countries, as well as international experts and the business community. Relevant topics were discussed:
Special attention was paid to the national initiative “Taza Kazakhstan”, issues of waste reduction, and improving recycling efficiency.
One of the projects presented at the forum by a representative of Coca-Cola in Kazakhstan was Smart Plastic Zone, implemented in partnership with GPI-Lab and the GreenUrban Association. The project was presented as an example of a successful ESG practice in the field of plastic waste management.
Participation in the forum allowed GPI-Lab to present practical solutions in the field of sustainable waste management, exchange experiences with international colleagues, and strengthen business ties with key industry participants.
