GPI Experts Highlight the Benefits of the Sustainable Compass Platform
GPI experts took part in the IV International Business Festival on Renewable Energy Qazaq GreenFest, organized by the Qazaq Green Renewable Energy Association.
In his speech, GPI Director Serik Kasenov emphasized that a successful and inclusive energy transition requires not only reforms and new technologies, but also practical tools accessible to businesses. As one of the solutions, he presented the Sustainable Compass digital platform, developed by GPI. The platform enables companies to undergo an express ESG assessment and receive recommendations for development in line with international standards.

“The use of the Sustainable Compass platform creates opportunities to increase the competitiveness of domestic companies, especially small and medium-sized businesses. It promotes the integration of sustainability and ESG principles into their operations, strengthens their position in both domestic and international markets, and encourages investment in green projects,” noted Serik Kasenov.

On the sidelines of the festival, participants also discussed opportunities for business involvement in the Smart Plastic Zone project, aimed at reducing plastic pollution and fostering a culture of responsible consumption. The project is being implemented with the participation of GPI, together with partners (Coca-Cola Kazakhstan and the Green Urban Association), and is already being actively rolled out across various sectors.

Speakers stressed that the combination of education, equal opportunities, and modern ESG solutions is a key condition for advancing Kazakhstan towards sustainable development and an inclusive energy transition.
