The GPI team is pleased to share the news that it has joined the UN Global Compact — the United Nations’ largest initiative in the field of corporate responsibility and sustainable development.
The UN recognized the company’s commitment to respecting human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption practices. By joining the UN Global Compact, GPI Group declares its commitment to the Compact’s 10 principles and its readiness to provide annual voluntary non-financial sustainability reporting. “We have chosen to grow according to a responsible business model. This year we became part of the National ESG Club, created the Green Urban Community, and are now promoting the sustainable development of cities, smart city solutions, and urbanism. We are confident that broad business engagement in these initiatives will create powerful momentum for entrepreneurial activity and improved quality of life in the regions,” noted Yuliya Yakupbayeva, Director of GPI Lab and Partner at GPI Group.
This initiative today brings together more than 13,000 member companies from over 160 countries. More than 80% of participants note that obtaining member status accelerated the implementation of their internal sustainable development strategies and became an important component of a solid business reputation.
