Yuliya Yakupbayeva, Partner at the GPI Group of Companies and co-founder of the National ESG Club, spoke at the “Quality Management” session of an international scientific and practical conference on trends in quality development in modern conditions, organized by KazStandard.
During the conference, participants and speakers discussed issues of quality of life, the promotion of sustainable development, key international and local quality standards, and incentives and economic effects for advancing these standards.

“Quality of life is not just a set of words — it is a real list of components that residents want and expect. People are no longer satisfied with the Soviet standard of urban amenities. They have developed a more discerning eye. Now, territories seeking to attract talent, qualified personnel, and tourists must provide them with safety, green spaces, leisure opportunities, quality healthcare, clean air, and more,” noted Yulia Yakupbayeva.
As a comprehensive and effective solution to this issue, the speaker proposed using the international standards ISO 37120 and ISO 37122, as well as Green Building and hospitality standards.
